Anonymous asked: I noticed a customer had a xs650 that you did with a xs500 swingarm and wheels. I did that swap also, but It looks like the countershaft and rear sprocket might not align perfectly. What did you do to remedy this?, or is it even a big deal. I recently reinstalled my 650 swingarm, and I'd have to make spacers on both sides of the wheel and I still have a sprocket alignment issue. I'd rather just put the 500 swingarm back on and be done with it, if it's ok. what did you do? Thanks for your input!!
I used not only the XS500 Swingarm, but the 500 rear wheel as well and had no alignment issues. The XS500 donor bike was a ‘78 with a disk-brake mag rear wheel, not sure if that made the difference. Hope you can get it all aligned.
