Yep, it’s officially for sale on eBay. And if you’re thinking the price is a little high, consider that the motor is fully rebuilt, the transmission is fully rebuilt and just about everything else is new or rebuilt. This bike cost me a small fortune to build and trust me, I’m not making much on it!
I’ve got a new custom build started and the donor bike is in the shop and all stripped down. Of course it’s an XS650 and it’s going to be a real vintage styled beauty. I’m really looking forward to this one!
I love that seat…
Those wheels are getting ditched for a set of wire 18”s wrapped in some vintage rubber.
Customer Build - Update
Now named The Bullitt, the new XS build is nearing completion. The motor is all rebuilt however, due to the poor Yamaha charging system, it’s getting updated with a new PMA (permanent magnetic alternator) from XScharge.com, which I’m looking forward to checking out.
It’s just down to bolting up all of the finished parts and getting her on the road.

Introducing: The Bullitt - XS650
A truly vintage inspired motorcycle! This ‘78 Yamaha XS650 was custom built for a Florida client. It features a reproduction Wassell style tank, custom fork covers & custom rear fender, all finished in Silverstone Racing Green with hand painted pinstripe, custom fabricated handlebars and seat, matched 18” front and rear wheels with Firestone tires and many other unique touches.

New Build! ‘80 Yamaha SR500
The new build for April. This really clean, stock SR will be torn down to the basics, chopped and reconstructed into a low, lean, Japanese style custom.
I ditched the overly complicated stock 34mm carb and swapped it out with the very familiar Mikuni B38 CV from an XS!
A set of spoke 18” & 21” wheels are already waiting for new rubber and a custom tank & seat are set to be fitted to the soon modified “brat” frame.
A mostly black paint theme will be offset by touches of metal flake red!

I’m back on this build now that the budget XS bobber is completed. All of the frame uppers have been fully welded and the seat mounts fabricated and in place.
