FOR SALE: Suzuki T500 Titan on eBay
The T500 is now officially For Sale on eBay! Get it here… I’m not asking much, so go check it out.
Yep, it’s officially for sale on eBay. And if you’re thinking the price is a little high, consider that the motor is fully rebuilt, the transmission is fully rebuilt and just about everything else is new or rebuilt. This bike cost me a small fortune to build and trust me, I’m not making much on it!
I’ve got a new custom build started and the donor bike is in the shop and all stripped down. Of course it’s an XS650 and it’s going to be a real vintage styled beauty. I’m really looking forward to this one!
I love that seat…
Those wheels are getting ditched for a set of wire 18”s wrapped in some vintage rubber.
Customer Build - Update
Now named The Bullitt, the new XS build is nearing completion. The motor is all rebuilt however, due to the poor Yamaha charging system, it’s getting updated with a new PMA (permanent magnetic alternator) from XScharge.com, which I’m looking forward to checking out.
It’s just down to bolting up all of the finished parts and getting her on the road.
With all of my bikes sold or spoken for, I have nothing to ride to Bike Week Daytona this coming March. So, the build begins! Another XS650 custom, in just months, must not only be finished but completely road ready.
Mark your calendars, this things got to be going by March 10th!!
New XS build - Jan/Feb
I got the basic parts of the hardtail built and welded up yesterday. There’s still lot to remove from the old frame and plenty yet to add. Ive been really up in the air about this build, how it will look, tank, wheels, etc.. but I think I’m going back to the original plan:
to rebuild another Royal
Introducing: The Bullitt - XS650
A truly vintage inspired motorcycle! This ‘78 Yamaha XS650 was custom built for a Florida client. It features a reproduction Wassell style tank, custom fork covers & custom rear fender, all finished in Silverstone Racing Green with hand painted pinstripe, custom fabricated handlebars and seat, matched 18” front and rear wheels with Firestone tires and many other unique touches.
My apologies for not keeping up with the site recently. It’s been a very busy month and here’s what I’ve been up to..
The Royal Rebuild (yet un-named) - with a close deadline of March 10, I’ve been cranking hard on this project!
Mocking Up The Pipes:
I got a set of gnarly old Triumph wheel hubs from a customer to have them polished.
After bead-blasting all of the old paint off:
They’re cast aluminum and not the best alloy, so the shine wasn’t as I had hoped but they came out nice regardless..
I’m also rebuilding an SR500 motor for a customer, the head is out getting bored over and will be fitted with a new 10:1 piston. I rebuilt the valve head while waiting on the other parts to come back:
After a good cleaning, the valves were lapped, new seals installed, intakes polished, the head repainted & aluminum covers polished:
Just this past weekend I picked up another bike to build, a ‘73 Yamaha TX750. I built one of these at the beginning of last year. This build should go pretty much the same way.
And last of all, I’m getting a little riding in on The Bullitt XS650, getting the bugs worked out and such before it goes off to its new owner.
Paint Paint Paint!!!
Paint is complete for the new XS650, the still untitled Royal Rebuild.
